Would love to treat him, unfortunately his latest gift of a new grandson has blown most of the spare £££...I'm not too familiar with what models are out there but the brief bit of research I did led me toward a k100d (aiming for around the £100-125 mark). Incidently will old asahi lenses work without any adapter ring etc? Think I recall one of his lenses being a 50mm f/2?

Just a quick hi, I'm normally a canon user (pls don't shoot me all at once lol). I have been looking for a gift for my father in law who is a long time pentax film slr user with a number of lenses and was just about to get him a used canon to bring him into the world of digital, however, had a brainstorm of possibily try a pentax digital as maybe able to make better use of his old lenses so hopefully will be sticking around to learn a thing or two!
