apologies i meant to say earlier that the DA 300 isn't an option because the teleconverter removes auto focus. what about the mk2 k5? is it a good move?

its probably the most important decision I will make and i just don't know what to do. I just wish the auto focus was quicker on the Siggy

Ive been thinking of changing from Pentax to Canon or Nikon for the last few months now and its really eating at me. I loovve the Pentax system - uncluttered, easy to navigate and great images.
I want to change because I shoot wildlife. Presently the setup is Pentax kx with Sigma 150 500

Can anyone let me know if they have tried the K-5 with the Sigma lens and the results?

Canon have the 400mm 5.6 and its the only draw for going Canon really.

The DA* 300 is too short and the converter is leaves to autofocus.

Would love to hear peoples experiences if they have tried the above setup.

Thanks for that John

On the subject of blur, how then are the pros taking seascapes etc?

Are they using one exposure to freeze the action and the others to use for the HDR?

HI

Ive recently started doing exposure bracketing and putting my photos through Photomatix. Unfortunately the photos are coming out blurry and I am guessing its because of a crap tripod and that I am having to press down on the camera to adjust the steps -2 -1 and so on.
I am however using a remote control but it doesnt control the bracketing.

Questions

1) Is it possible to get a remote for my K-x that will control exposure bracketing?

And 2) Is pressing down on the camera putting the blur in my photos?

Help please?!?

I have been looking at ND filters on ebay. They are a square shape, so can someone tell me what holder you might use for the front?

Id be really grateful if someone could post a link with where I can get a 52mm? filter ring... isnt that what its called?

Cheers

Once I get my K-x going again (power problems at the mo as explained in troubleshooting) I really want to get into landscape shooting in a big way.

Can someone please tell me what graduated filters and ND filters you would recommend for the K-x and any experiences you have with the brand/type.

I am having to use Lightroom too much lately and so I want to stop down more in camera at the time of shooting
