While we are on the subject the 18 135. Is it a good all rounder and sharp enough> I like the idea of the WR as well

Thinking of getting this lens because of its mid range - hoping to use it for general work with possible portrait work down the line.

Any thoughts appreciated

Ive heard this "Pentax isnt for sport/action" from the day i started taking photos.

Everyone here is talking about the equipment and yet no one has said anything of the person that uses the camera!

Put a good photographer behind any camera / lens setup and the results will shine through.

Although i am primarily a wildlife shooter here are some shots to prove that the K-5 aint a slouch (Sigma 150 500)


this rider was easily doing 80 mph around this corner


This hare was running at full speed in my direction


This Raven was tumbling upside down and plummeting at high speeds. Very hard for some Canon shooters that day - no prob with my K-5!

The original image was too over saturated and the lampost needed some seperation from the tree.
