Ready to extend my collection of limited lenses by acquiring a 15mm. I wish to keep to silver but am not fussed as to SMC or HD version. Anyone wanting to offload, maybe after going FF? All the best, Peter.

Very very good. Loved your set from last year and tried to emulate them. Nowhere near as good. Thanks for showing again.

16-85 for me. Surprising how often the wide end is so useful, particularly for interiors. Can't use the on board flash as a large shadow in the lower part of the image. Sharp at most apertures across the image and nice colours. Mine has been hammered for 3 years yet has been utterly reliable.

I bought the KP in silver a couple of years ago when Amazon had a silly sale for a short while - I think I paid about £550. Having progressed through the K30 (lovely ergonomics and a major step up from Olympus E520) and the KS2 (Twisty floppy back screen which was great for landscapes, flowers and macro) it took me a little while changing grips before settling on the largest grip. Huge range of adjustable camera settings again took a while but the camera is now set up to my style and is now intuitive. The RAW images are brilliant to manipulate in Lightroom. Until recently the 16-85 has been on the camera for 80% of the time and although a great general purpose zoom the camera is front heavy with it. I thought I would look at the limited lenses and picked up a 35mm macro in silver from eBay. The colour is an exact match for the KP and sits and handles beautifully. Images are a step up from the zoom and a couple of sigma lenses I use. I was then very lucky to find a 21, 40 and 70 limited in silver as new old stock and am just getting to grips with learning the art of carrying a few primes. They do work very well with the KP. Apparently Pentax did intend the camera to be used with the limited lenses. A perfect match in my opinion. The current price is a great price for a body which will exceed my capabilities for some time. Peter

Hi Gareth, great photos with a nice balance of sea and sky. 2 and 4 for me. I think some of these have a magenta cast which I found when using HiTech filters stacked. Easily corrected in Lightroom by adjusting tint.

Hi All

My well used but never abused KS-2 has lost any power to its back screen. Camera appears to be functioning as normal but nothing on the screen. I have twisted and turned the screen, reset info and menu, switched on and off (works for computers) and used a fully charged genuine battery. No joy at all. Has anyone else come across this problem?

The camera is out of warranty and Johnsons quote £178 + VAT for a standard repair.

It would appear to me a consequence of one of the great features of this camera, its flippy twisty screen and I have lost electrical contact somewhere.

Any experience of this? Any advice?

Peter

Unlocker, thanks for the link. Been on Aperture for years and this gave me the stimulus to move over to Lightroom. I didn't sign up to a recurring subscription as hopefully there will be another annual deal next year....
