Is that bokeh explosion in the background your Christmas tree? The last one makes me think it is.
Interesting series. I would like it even better when the top of the plane the objects stand on would be without pattern. This is a bit distracting (and for me in a negative way whereas the light spots and circles from the background are distracting in a positive way).

This competition is like a desease ! Cant get rid of it.
(Have i got anything acceptable or not.)
So I am waiting for the next theme
On the addictive potential you are quite right, it's almost as bad as LBA. But PUFCPA is a bit long winded (Pentax User Fortnightly Competition Participation Addiction). On the other hand it might sound good on a sick note...

Set the exposure compensation to -1 1/2 to 2, and use fill in flash. That will solve the problem.

And thanks to mikew for swift and competent judging.
I am hesitant to question this but those chevrons – do they add or detract to the composition? It looks better to me when I cover them up.
I like the way the tilt accentuates the way the clouds are sweeping off into corner which could have been more pronounced with the 12-24 (which I think you have).
The colours all round are OK but I am a little disturbed by the way the red acts as a halo in the further distance. I think this shows how a careful choice of time of day can make such a difference. I expect I would have chosen total darkness and then there would be less to hold the eye and draw it round that curve.
I stood around that bend for about a quarter of an hour (and it was very nippy) waiting for the light to fade enough for a long exposure. The cars were almost all slowing down when they spotted the tripod next to a chevron, wouldn't be surprised to learn that this "speed trap" made it to the local radio stations.
Thanks again mikew for an interesting competition!

Tim, I think you are right about the shot, though. The background (a piece of black cloth) was not quite all black. I added a black layer with layer mode soft light and masked the phone. This does look a bit "unreal"...
Stefan, thanks for reminding me on that advertising shot. I quite like it
And yes, it seems you know my photos better than I do. But then, you only have seen a little fraction of all of them .
