A bit of refreshing .
Autofocus speed question for guys having F*/FA* 300mm, how long it takes to go between near and far end ?. Could you describe its AF speed in typical use by comparing it to something popular like 50-200, 55-300 (slower, faster, same) ?, thanks.

You all are right (ebay & keep it as a spare). I may however drop it onto ebay, just to help fund some nice lens , will think of both options though.

Ok, I have taken your words into account and lowered the price to 275, I'm not going to lower it more, as I can't sell such a nice camera, well looked after for price which just sounds to low, I would prefer to keep it instead .

If I can put my 3p into the 'discovering sensor dust' fun .
I have possibly better way, manual focus (and whatever focus setting), take a picture of a white/gray (best - uniform) wall, or piece of white paper, you can boots exposure a bit to get that white/gray object more white than gray . Load picture into gimp, and use function called 'equalize' (menu: colors->auto->equalize), and here you have all the spots clearly visible. Actually 'equalize' function shows dust well with most photos, but uniform, white picture just make it easier to spot the dust.

Have upgraded to K20D, so have this excellent camera (K10D) for sale now.

K10D is in excellent condition, bought it new from SRS ( 30/IV/2008 ), at the moment loaded with 1.1 firmware with debug mode enabled.
Complete with box and all the original accessories.

DA 18-55 is in excellent condition, in fact never really used, attached only once to have a look how it works, then never used as I have other lens I'm using for that focal range.

I'm ok to meet you in London (central) if you want to have look before buying/save on postage.
Payment by paypal or cash if we meet.

That may be good, wait until the next month, K20D with lens should have a cashback offer.

So far my experience with SRS is amazingly good, looking at the feedback you may think if anyone would complain about SRS it must have been a client's fault

Mine 55-300 has front focus problem (on K10D), -50um in debug mode helped me.
