This site seems to have the best aircraft photography I have found on the net.
They did a survey back along as to who used what and the results went along the lines of out of 10, others - 1, Pentax - 1, Noink - 2, C***n - 6. That sent me a message.
You mentioned that website, this thread was worth to mentione (started by "somebody" with the same avatar like yours here ), see comments from ex Pentax users that changed brands:

Like Chris I am waiting for the K-5 before deciding what to do but the 7D is looking a likely purchase, especially after the 60D specifications were released.
Me to, still giving Pentax some credit and awaiting what they can make (better), but how many years more should we wait.
On other hand changing system these days, when biggest sellers just ripe off people on lens prices may not be wisest/easiest.

I could just say that's how I wanted to crop it so it draws the eye to the exhaust heat.

Thank you for C&C, now after having a bit of re-thinking I agree with you, what I thought will be interesting and make some story isn't that much interesting and quality of some is worse than I initially thought, thanks.

Few photos from today, quite a lot of keepers suprisingly, was a bit hard to pick some to show.
"The haggis horns" (shown on pics) very nice band, really enjoyed it.
Two frontman trumpeters were doing small show on their own, face of the one in black t-shirt was also showing how tired he was while show was going on.
I've spent some time working on RAWs trying to correct WhiteBalance, I hope is came out not bad.
Again, clicking at photo gives full quality (that's forum).

Since we are on page 2, I will add more pictures .
Some taken in 2008, some in 2009, using either K10D + DA55-30, or K20D + Tamron 18-250.

I like the otter - scope for a crop there?
Cropped to 1:1, hence around 43% in width cut off and 15% in height cut off the original.

1st - nice use of DOF, but main object - grating is not sharp, picture is not in level as well.
2nd - leaf is too dark.

JBmagician: I was really near this bird, and that Eagle Owl is quite a big wht helps, settings were: f/5.6, 1/250sec, 800 ISO, 250mm.

Matwhittington: spot on, you are right, these are Indian Runner Ducks.
