I've seen the video on the AF and was impress but it's ISO I'm also interested as the dance school has changed venue's and the lighting is a lot different Darker and more coloured lighting so ISO 500 is not cutting it any more.

New printer Epson R2880 bought
Second dell 22 ultra sharp for the studio bought
New K5 buying next week
But more importantly a new computer for the studio, I am sick of working on a laptop as I'm having to do twice the work on a images when I get home as this is where the printer is and my main computer a old dell dimensions c521 and it's running xp with cs3
I will be taking the old dell to the studio and replacing the home computer with a new one
But witch one to go for ?????????????????
what do you think of this Computer

But is it self-improvement or better equipment
For example have you updated your camera bought yourself a higher spec lens?
I know from experience in wedding photography I have improved enormously
In photography, controlling light, controlling people, more imaginative poses and better post processing.
BUT equipment and experience has walked hand in hand
Camera has stayed the same
Lenses have remained the same
I use two flashes (one hammer Metz cl45) one cannon speed light on a tx and rx with a 24” soft box and two or three reflectors and some flash filters (mainly green)
Post processing has been better aided with the addition of colormunki and a better monitor dell ultra sharp
All the above has stayed the same with the exception of the monitor and colormunki
I hope this makes sense
I would say with only a couple of equipment changes in the past twelve months technique and photography has improved but Pentax users have played a really big part in my improvement I could not have done it with out positive and negative comments

I love the palm house but I think the cactus flower is spot on
deep detail with the added contrast of the flower.
good set

I have also bought a battery grip from ebay with two extra batteries all charged and with a 8g sd card in it
I am doing a village fair Saturday for charity four shots for a pound and the images are emailed
if nothing else I should get some clients for future work and emails for special offers.
the thing is I thing I will use my K20D as I have a gazebo as a studio (black) so I will only need two speedlight (soft box and a hair light)
the best thing about the village fair is it's only four hours
my wife roped me in to this but I did get the gazebo and a two meter sign out of it o'and 3,000 A5 new flyers
