Dear Fiona
I have done some research for you and to help you steady the flowers while in the field/location try this clamp link

also I've found a book

Quote:

Photographing Flowers

Author: Sue Bishop
Publisher: Guild of Master Craftsmen
ISBN: 1861083661
Quote:
Sue Bishop, with Charlie Waite, was a founder of Light and Land and is one of the foremost flower photographers in the UK.
In this well written book she shares some of her techniques and gives advice on many topics including equipment, lighting, depth of field, the colour circle and more.
The book contains many exquisite photographs as well as a number of case studies illustrating the techniques used.
I would have liked the content to have included studio set-ups but that's a minor point and I have no hesitation in recommending this book.

I think the next pentax camera should be called the K-9 and the advertising could go something like "buy a pentax it's the dogs b####"

I'm happy with the K20 and will not be moving to a k-7 k-5 yet

I have been sent a email from Loxley for a seminar on wedding photography

Has any one ever been to a wedding seminar

I'm thinking of going for it but it would evolve a lot of travelling as it's set up in Glasgow and cost £85.00.

this is the email I received

Dear James

We are delighted to announce the second in the quartet of seminar workshops by the Yerburys.

Trevor and Faye will be hosting an inspirational day on the Art of Wedding Photography at the new Loxley lecture theatre on Monday 25th October.

The day will be split into 2 sections, the first being by far the most important "BE THE DIFFERENCE" will be all about setting yourself apart from the competition and how to create an individual identity in this vastly and increasingly oversaturated market. This will be accompanied by a Power Point presentation, which will cover marketing & branding.

There will be a delicious buffett served at lunchtime followed by a lab tour and resume on the latest products and services offered by Loxley Colour.

In the afternoon Trevor & Faye will present a spectacular demonstration with 2 stunning bridal models in fabulous designer wedding gowns accompanied by their handsome groom. The Yerbury's will demonstrate how they work with bride & groom to create their signature images. Delegates are welcome to take record shots at the side from where either Faye or Trevor are shooting.
