went on to the SP forum and read that alot of user have the same problem
so i decided at 11.30 to print from fax viewer just to see if it made any difference, and it did ? (granted it was i tad dark but nothing i couldn't live with)
so went back to SP and played a bit more with the settings and at around 2.30am got it. Printer is still laying down to much black ink (i don't know how to cure this, but will have to live with it.
James
thank you for your help matt

I've rewritten my file as a development save IE saved all my setting into the file number and lost the image I had finished with the photo and printed it but it was a good image. now i think i will just have to have it as a scanned copy o'well, just a learning curve

K100d
and k10d
I might up grade to the k20d
what change can i expect in up grading from the k10d to the k20d
and will the battery and grip fit the k20d
I've taken the grip of the k10d for the moment as the older 28-300mm sigma lens i own.
i was convinced it contributed to camera shake, but may return it to the camera when I have received new 55-300mm pentax.
