James,
With Silkypix you can just drag and drop a folder, or an individual file onto the Silkypix running application.
Personally, as I store all my images in the form: D:IMAGESyeardate-desc I find it easy to just drag the whole directory from explorer onto Silkypix
I then have Silkypix setup to save the JPG/TIFF output files to a "Silkypix" subdirectory.
Edit: When you want to create a JPG or TIFF file just use the "Development" menu. You can press Ctrl-S to save the current file as JPG/TIFF. Failing that you could try the manual
Hope that helps!

I think I know what I've done
I've rewritten my file as a development save IE saved all my setting into the file number and lost the image I had finished with the photo and printed it but it was a good image. now i think i will just have to have it as a scanned copy o'well, just a learning curve

You shouldn't be able to overwrite the RAW (PEF/DNG) file you started with.
I'm confused... but obviously you're not!

I have done some work on a photo and it has been saved as a file extension of spd but now I've restarted silkypix and I can't see it when I go to my folder to relaunch it. how do I retrieve this image and re save it as a tiff-jpeg file
