I would love to upload some of my older images but mine, unlike yours, would be disqualified on the grounds that they were not captured with Pentax equipment (I was a Yashica/Contax man in those days):(. Ah! prsjnb, why not use your Pentax to try a bit of photo copy work, using your old images as subject material and describe the photographic methods, exposures, lenses etc., for capturing the o ...

Incredible shot, at that extension you must have needed a very long exposure or a very fast film and probably necessitated reciprocity factor correction, do you recall? As this was year ago and with film, was it through the lens metering, or did you use a manual exposure meter with human calculations? A very short depth of field in consequence of the 10cm extension!
A very good photograph resu ...

Nice texture on the petal undersides. I suggest that you try a blue bag or blue card as background. Since you are indoors you could afford to use a smaller aperture and longer exposure time to extend the field depth, assuming that your camera is tripod mounted.

Good Shot, the stamens appear to be reaching up. I like the way that you have captured the undulations of the petal surfaces, even though the petal surfaces are white; something that I have much difficulty with.

Incredible shot, crystal clear detail and those eyes! I am amazed how you have got such deep depth of field, at so close with such a large aperture! I usually go for the smallest aperture; to hold field depth and to keep the subject within my natural fore and aft body sway movements!

Fantastic! Crisp focus on the wing details and nice colours, showing another example of 'Nature's' magnificent intricacies.

There is a lot more than meets the casual eye to drill geometry and regrinding. It is an art that has to be learnt and practised, to avoid producing lobed holes. Small drills, 1/16 inch, are more difficult to grind correctly than large drills, 1/2 inch, see http://www.mfg.mtu.edu/marc/primers/drilling/nomen.html#definition
and http://www.newmantools.com/machines/drillpoint.html .

That will 'Land' you in some trouble! This image would be vastly improved by adding a nice piece of coiled steel or aluminium swarf, just peeling off the cutting edge or lying in the flute.
