Very good composition and good colours. I agree with Senn, today's lighting was ideal for outdoor close up photography, a nice diffused light with no glaring highlights from the leaves or petals. It's that dam breeze that I cannot cope with; as soon as I focus the subject is on the move again!

I like this it, it made me laugh. I think your fairy is related to the one that I discovered lurking in one of my fungi shots back in the autumn.

Very clever construction and good weld runs. A lot of work has obviously gone into the shaping and profiling of the individual pieces to achieve the completed overall body shapes! Judging by the ratio of weld run width to body part cross section dimensions, I estimate guestimate that these figures were approx 1/2 scale.
Good photography; you have managed to eliminate the reflective glares, d ...

Nice specimens and good shot. You must be a Civil Servant as you have done this in triplicate! however, I would like to have seen more of the tree stump for identification purposes, was it a Yew tree?

I had another thought about the focussing problem, during the early hours of this morning, whilst cleaning my teeth. Have you inadvertently disturbed your personal 'Viewfinder Dioptre' setting on your camera?. This has often caused me problems in the past, I think that I disturb it whilst attaching and removing an Angled Finder. The Angled Finder has also caused problems because that has it's o ...

If the basic image is out of focus I don't think that different processing software is going to correct that.
I can remember when processing 'Ferrania Colour' reversal film years, ago, that the reds always appeared to be physically forward of the greens. I am no scientist, just a mere Engineer but perhaps the difference between the wavelengths of red and green parts of the spectrum contribu ...

Nice flower but yes the flowers appear to be out of focus, especially when viewed large. On viewing large, perhaps the front spine of the stalk near the lower portion is in focus. If the camera was on auto focus it may have averaged between the front petals and the intersection of the rear walls. Have another go before it 'goes over', I suggest that you use a much smaller aperture say f/16 or e ...

I agree with Shaun; there appears to be something very odd about the 'EXIF' data displayed! I think those little men in your camera's 'on board' chip seem to have been on too much Christmas booze! Considering the focal length displayed, 74099370.666667mm, moving the decimal point 6 places to the left and rounding up, we get 74.099Km (45.95miles), that is one hell of a focal length! The 'Apertur ...
