My other hobby besides photography is going to the odd dog show and taking portaits of the dogs. I usualy ask the owner to stand the dog at an angle were I get a shot front and side and focus on the eyes and try to get a nice depth of feild to try and provide detail across the body. Can anyone offer more help or ideas please. Also many photographers when taking portraits at these shows seem to use zoom lenses when they have the dog at there finger tips and can posistion the dog anyware I wonderd why when surely a better result would be got using a prime lens say 50 or 70mm.

I was having problems with my k 100 D with verticle and horozontals not been true when images were procsesed on my computer. I contacted pentax at there Slough workshops and they agreed there was a problem and I was told to send the camera for repair. After 6 days I recived what I thought was my camera back after repair, on inspection I found they had sent me a brand new camera. My old one was 10 months into the warranty so Im well chuffed.

Great shots phil.
It always astounds me when i look at these old castles and cathedrals how they could build them so grand with the technology of the day.
Cheers mate yes me to there are a team of stone masons who are permenantly employed to the up keep of the building. There is much more to photograph and plenty to keep anyone visiting for a photo shoot busy all day. I find something new every time I visit.

Very nice. And I love to see other K100D users in the forum. Sometimes I feel just a wee bit inferior with all these K10s and K20s around...
Well for what it's worth Terry the k100 D has given me alot of nice photos and Im very happy with it.
