The sigma 10/20 seems to be a popular choice pleased I bought this one took a bit getting used to at first. I have the K100D but the peoples choice seems to be the k10 would I see a marked inprovement in the picture quality over the 100 D ? IF I also thought of adding this to the kit as well. I can see it's going to take a year or two to assemble all the toys LOL.

Thanks guys for the input. Chris I am looking for a lens I can stick on my camera and have just about as much coverd as possible I just like to shoot what catches my eye. Also it would be nice just to carry the one lens to lighten the load.

My other hobby besides photography is going to the odd dog show and taking portaits of the dogs. I usualy ask the owner to stand the dog at an angle were I get a shot front and side and focus on the eyes and try to get a nice depth of feild to try and provide detail across the body. Can anyone offer more help or ideas please. Also at these shows nearly all the photographers use zoom lenses when they have the dog at there finger tips and could position the dog anyware. Surely a prime lens say 50 or 70mm would give a better and sharper result any observations as to why they go for the zoom lens anyone.
