Hi Ian,
K3 II with 55 - 300 DA PLM lens, AFC as default with newest camera, centre focus point, centre spot metering (average sometimes better, rarely use multi point other than landscapes)
.
i use TAV mode most of the time with camera starting at 1/500th F8 unless very dull.
With birds in flight, dragonflies (see my gallery) etc I up shutter speed, again if light permits. i have shutter release permanently on continuous shooting low.
I've tried back button AF which makes sense for easy AFC, AFS, manual switch) but too many years of using shutter button for me to get co-ordinated.
The combination works well for you along with your ability to pull off really nice images.
Regards Ian
A very nice set what combination did you use to capture these.
Regards Ian

Thank you all for the feed back and kind comments. The photo was taken around 2pm on a very hot day with the sun over my shoulder. It was taken from the jetty looking directly over the swan from about 9 foot. Just got lucky with the light.
