Another super railway/people shot. I'm off to the Great Central Railway (Tornado running) today to see if I can live up to this standard. You have just pipped me with a main line shot of a Black Five. Regards Peter

This is a very interesting effect you have created with the light. I have been sat peering at it to try and work out the time of day, but then cheated & looked at the exif. I like the glint just catching the front of the smokebox and funnel. Peter

I hope my initial comment didn't sound impolite. What I was trying to say was that regardless of the detail of how it was captured, it is an image with impact. I also admire your eye for composition especially in the portraits and landscapes in your gallery. Peter

Hi Emma, I think you have made good use of the tree to shade the sun a little bit. It is a nice creative effect to get a starburst or similar through the branches and twigs. I fondly remember one or two similar photos I took in film days. Regards Peter

Andrew, I've just looked at your last three gallery posts and I think I have spotted a subliminal theme. Cold comfort - The faded glamour of a holiday resort past it's best.
