For me, three is the best. I like the composition with all the main players featured, has an intensity and a bit of blur (ball) conveying action.
4 then 1 then 2.

Not struck on 2 as I would have put the batsman as the main subject but he is OOF and the gent on the bench is too much of a distraction.

I use (the freely downloadable) Adobe DNG converter.

Goto: https://www.adobe.com/go/dng_converter_win/

You could use an earlier version (3.3 or later for the *ist DL) if you can find a link to download it.

(I am guessing that is what you want to know as you have been a little sparing with your post )

The view I am thinking of is further to the north/east to give a much less side-on view of the viaduct. Perhaps it was a drone shot that I saw?

A pleasing range of colours. I would guess that you were probably at about
90 degrees to the direction of the Sun in late afternoon?

There is a location somewhere to the east of your distant shots that gives a more oblique but unobstructed view of the viaduct which has featured steam tours in the rail mags.

The one with the railings is particularly nice. I don't like the livery of the Intercity125 however in the first shot. Makes it look like a toy train with 4-wheeled trucks!
It is a Northern Trains class 195 diesel multiple unit in company livery, used throughout the North on local and inter-urban services. The doors are highlighted in a contrasting colour for the visually impaired and are at 1/3 & 2/3 along the carriage length.

Nice compositions particularly on 2, 3 & 6 but the set is spoiled for me by the flare coming more-or-less from the castle direction.
I suppose if you are at a particular location at a particular time of day, you can only photograph what you see at that time.

I have one in similar condition.
I read a previous thread where another user had same which was diagnosed as a screw that had become dislodged and jammed the zoom & focus mechanisms.
Question is, do you have the expertise to dis-assemble & re-assemble?

I can't see where to put them in mine- I think he means the Chinese grip takes AAs.

Was it the K100D that could take AAs directly?

Nice pictures of the arbour area. Did you arrive by train from Fort William?
Yes on The Jacobean steam hauled train.
Thanks all
It's actually known as "The Jacobite".

You could tell we haven't been in a medal situation before:

Why didn't the players turn square-on to the president and bow their heads to make the delivery of the medals a bit easier, instead of "see if you can get it over me 'ead".

A bit of extra coaching was needed there.
