Things must be improving. I can now see the photos that were submitted in July, all of which seemed to be n limbo when the website relaunched. Two of the six have been approved with another two still pending.

I wouldn't have called it heavy?
are we talking about the same lens ?
No.
That's not the F100-300, that Dangermouse specifically referred to. Pentax have made several incarnations, I believe that ones the silver FA which apparently has a rather lightweight plastic body.

Thank Heavens this sold a year ago. It was just down the road from me & would have been VERY tempting!

I got my U-360 from UQG optics, do be aware though that they pass significant amounts of IR too, which digital cameras are more sensitive to. (I think even those with strong hot mirrors).
In addition many lenses will themselves absorb significant UV, uncoated lenses with minimal glass are your best bet unless you can afford (& find) one of the ultra rare quartz lenses Pentax made.

Good luck!

BTW Klaus (AKA kds315) is now a member & is very much an expert in UV photography. His website is a great source of information on it.

Actually, no.  It looks better, which is why people do it.

See how much better this one looks.

To me the first actually looks better.
In a large block of text it can make it easier to read to increase sentance spacing, but a double space is IMO excessive.
I think some fonts do this by defining the full stop to have a partial space after it, so that [full stop][space] becomes [stop][long space]. It doesn't work well fopr every use of the full stop though!

Increasingly software developers seem to be employing auto formatting - which can end up taking ages to correct, back to what is wanted/needed!

I have two second hand monocular converters which I'd guess are similar, one made by Jessops (~£30), & the other brought shortly after because it was much cheaper

I have to admit I don't find them particularly useful, I was hoping they'd give the kids a better view of power boat racing - whilst I play with the camera. Unfortunatly the local powerboats never had their second outing.
IIRC mine quote a 5X magnification, as 50mm is roughly normal view (on 35mm these were from the film days after all) that seems remarkably similar.

Looking at the link you give the Kenko unit does look MUCH flashier, probably had considerably better grade optics (but in the playing I've done with mine the optics have never seemed limiting) and mine don't have the tripod mount (though my bigger lenses do anyway).

I'd certainly rate it as an expensive toy. I find a camera body works quite well as a scope, with the added ability to take a picture & zoom in digitally...

Check out, & the PK model review on the other forum.

I am looking for AF.

I know everyone says macro should be done with MF, but having tried load of combinations, I am rubbish at it.
That may be because you're working handheld, rather than MF. Hand held macro is possible but only in really good light (generally with flash).
Bear in mind that 'Catch in focus' can effectively turn a MF lens into AF - hold down the shutter release & sway gently backwards & forwards through the focus, and the camera should take it when it's focused.
DOF is minimal so camera movements of less than 1mm are usually critical...

You should complain to Peak. They deserve the chance to correct any mistakes.
They deserve nothing from me. I'm not looking for a relationship, I just need a reliable, professional service. Nobody? How's the Darkroom in Cheltenham? Or better yet (cos it's closer) Davies Colour in Cardiff?
They deserve the right to refund you - and if the prints are not fit for purpose they should have this pointed out to them...
