Sorry to all my 'customers' for my B&W film processing, but I was stranded in USA Florida-- got turned off aircraft as it was going to take off with all others for London Heathrow and had to wait a week until back today 22nd April ! After a wash, shave, cup of real English Tea and rest will be back in darkroom ! Peter.

Hi ChrisA : yes, the SMC Series A -- HAND Held as I did not intend to take many with that lens and didn't want to lug a monopod around -- I would have been the only snapper there with one-- there was the Gazette Staffer and some Sport Photography agency snappers too -- never saw any of their results used anywhere ! Well, how did I get the caption inot the 'EXIF' ?
I didn't know it was there !! Maybe it is because I used the ACTUAL Press photo I sent to the YA newspaper in FotoStation, with the caption- they GAVE me PhotoShop 7 and FotoStation free on this machine so I could send them pics -- they do NOT PAY now-- 'No Budget' for Freelancers any more but I give them a few pics as they have been good to me in the past and given me lOTS of FREE FILM ! I find I can upload to FLICKR the actual sized Press photos at 200 resolution and they go on,OK then for this site I downsize them a bit in the FLICKR 'All Sizes' thingy and it must retain the FotoStation caption. I don't bother to do 72 Resolution here if it is a Press Photo any more-- saves time and hassle.

Thanks for viewing -- Bart does not have a computer and Internet facility or he would join this site I'm sure-- I did get him to join the Pentax Club some years ago and I printed some of his B&W photos of himself and they were used in the magazine.

I used my 400mm f5.6 'A'Series lens on my K10D at the start of the annual Brentwood Half Marathon -- here is a result... 2225 Paul Molyneux of the Springfield Striders Club, Chelmsford was the eventual winner. I have got a double-page spread in this week's Yellow Adveriser newspaper but they are as rare as Hens' Teeth to get one !!

Bart Kent is a Pentax user and a member of Brentwood Photogrpahic Club -- he is very good at doing 'Self Portraits' and invited me round for his latest session so I could finish up some film in my 6x7 -- I used his Jessops Photoflash studio lights and his background of a projector screen in his lounge. I used my 6x7 MkII + 135mm SMC Macro-Takumar, outdated Konica VX 400 home-processed in C41 .

Is Mr 'whelmed'a Tax Inspector by any chance ? I have an accountant and any dosh is put into one account and my Pension into another so I can keep any 'earnings' separate -- now nobody WANTS any 'Pro' photographers I don't earn enough to PAY any Tax in fact last year I got £390 odd REBATE ! There is 'No Budget' for photographers all around here in Essex-- a big High Street Studio closed down, nobody getting married any more so no 'wedding Photos' wanted any more ( they all live with 'Partners'),no Family Portraits,no Actors,no Theatrical I used to get (they use a cast member with a Nikon Coolpix), no Brentwood Council work any more ( the use the 'Girl in the Office with a Nikon Coolpix) and local newspapers all in trouble, closing their offices and sacking staff.
