Where else sells refurbished Pentax cameras ?
I got one from SRS and it's great but they have no stock these days.
I think refurb stuff offers great value as you get 12 month g'tee and you don't notice the collossal depreciation on these things so much ...
I can't find any other refurbished outlets so if anyone knows of any please can they post. I'm thinking of a K10D.

My Pentax ist DL's flash has failed - when you pop the flash up the battery symbol starts flashing after a few moments and the flash doesn't fire.
It's like the capacitor is shorting the battery so unless I unlink the flash, it will never take a photo as it seems to be waiting for it to charge (?).

Has anyone else come across this ? It seems the potential repair costs (in excess of £200) outweigh the benefit of fixing it. I can of course use a seperate flash but that's no a fast set-up.

However, I really liked the onboard flash for those quick shots so am really annoyed, it's only 3 months past a year old.

Any Pentax repair tips appeciated !

How do I connect my ist DL a reflecting telescope ? I have read quite a lot and get more confused.
I see T mounts feature a lot but that is all I need ?

Has anyone else come across the problem in that that when the "in focus" indicator lights up in the viewfinder, is not actually the best focus ?
I seem to be able to focus better without it using with an old 50mm lens.
I just discovered the setting and thought "aha! that will help", but it seems worse than my own focusing effort.

My new ist DL writes jpgs very fast on short exposure shots. Quick enough to get 2/3 fps. However, when I take a long exposure, say 10 seconds, it takes that long to write to the card so there's a long wait after each shot. If I take a 30 second exposure, it seems to take just as long top write as the exposure.
Anyone else come accross this ? Tried different SD cards too.
