I have dozens of memory cards now and I'm looking for a storage solution as they are cheap enough now to keep as original files.
I was thinking of something like a A4 neg page but can't find anything suitable.... anyone have any ideas ?

I got one too (you can get an extra £5 off if you Google for Jessops coupons/vouchers, makes it £45).
It has no controls apart from on, first and rear curtain flash settings. Two LEDs, red for 'ready charged', green for 'auto is on'.
It has the IR focus beam too.
It's definitely not PTTL (expected) but does seem to be TTL somehow... if I set to say F3.5 it flashes with correct exposure and recharges very quickly. If you up to say F16, it gives a full blast with recharge around 5 or 6 seconds so it's metering somehow.
Sadly, if you point at something predominantly white, it seems to over-expose. The flash settings are still available through the FN button so you can dial -1 to compensate.
It's strange really as the instructions are rubbish so it's trial and error (good thing this isn't 35mm film).
Seems like it will be fine for my very occasional use (and it's digital safe low voltage).
Any other comments from users will be interesting.

There seems to be very little information about this gun but it's a great price if it does PTTL.

I just looked again and it's definitely 8.35 .... maybe it's because I left it in the Pentax charger for several weeks plugged in. However, the LED wasn't on and a power meter indicated the unit wasn't drawing any power.
I'll probably still chuck it to be on the safe side.
The Pentax was 7.4 spot on.

I bought a couple of Power Mart NP400 batteries from eBay as a back up but have not yet needed to try them. Out of interest I thought I'd test the voltage and it is 8.35 .... instead of 7.4. The Pentax comes in at 7.4.
I'm obviously now not going to use them but does anyone if that the extra volt would actually damage the camera ?
Out of interest, has anyone else got some NP400s they could measure ?

Ah OK, I'm looking at it in a different light now (as it were) ... I always convert in my head as it gives an idea of what to expect when you look through it on a digital camera. However, I get it now, thanks for answering.

Probably a silly question but I just wanted to check - I should set the focal length to 77 for a 50mm film camera prime lens (as it's x1.5 on digital) ?

I thought there was something wrong with SR as I inadvertently left it set to 700 and photos with SR were so blurred!

The K10D is so definately not a point and shoot camera. I find it difficult to get the results I want but I'm learning to use it. On the other hand, the ist DL is a great point and shoot camera.

Hi all. I had a search but couldn't see anyone else suffering from this. Quite a few photos taken with the K10D inbuilt flash are underexposed. I'm not expecting much for for such a small unit but I get better results on the ist DL. Has anyone else noticed this ?

Does anyone know of non-dedicated flash units around £50 that will work ? I'm aware of the trigger voltage issue so if anyone has any suggestions I would be grateful. I just want something that's better than the inbuilt one for occasional use (our fast moving child mostly).
