K100D Super £175

Hi , I'm new to this Forum as i just bought a K100d super at an amazing price £175 .
I logged on to see which SD cards are compatible?best for the camera .
I have been a Pentax user for 7 years (MZ50 and MZ60 SLR,s) And have been looking for a cheap enough digital SLR for a while . This fits the bill .

I got it from Asda in Bolton Lancs , on sale 50% off. I dont know if its at this price at other stores as it was still £350 at the Pilsworth store(near Bury).

Buy a card that costs about £150, that should even things up a bit.

That beats my K100D that I got for £190. These, still in stock, from SRS in Watford, are grade A refurbs but came all boxed up with all the bits and pieces plus a full Petax guarantee. Too tempting a price not to buy in my book.

You lucky so and so mine cost a little bit more than that now you can get yourself a cool zoom lens!! As for the sd cards I got 2G x2 off one of those daft TV channels they were £17 for the 2 !! So we all get our little bargains !! They work fine have you started using the software yet? I've realised that photo laboratory will only work on RAW files which isn't that much of a problem for me.I like to use Googles's Picasa for basic edits and then use Paint.net for that extra tweak.You guessed.if it's free I'll use it!!.Happy shooting with your K100D super I think its a brilliant camera to start on the Dslr mountain

Where else sells refurbished Pentax cameras ?
I got one from SRS and it's great but they have no stock these days.
I think refurb stuff offers great value as you get 12 month g'tee and you don't notice the collossal depreciation on these things so much ...
I can't find any other refurbished outlets so if anyone knows of any please can they post. I'm thinking of a K10D.

Incidentally, I contacted a local Asda store and was informed that some branches had been selling-off old stocks of the K100D, NOT the K100D super, which is currently retailing for £349.95 ? I'm somewhat confused.......

Are you sure it was the super version ? Furthermore, did the price include the kit lens or was it just the body you purchased ?

No definitely the Super and it came with the 18-55kit lens. I was also surprised at the price(more like shocked ). my brother saw it and phoned me as he new i had Pentax film SLRs and that my lenses would fit.
Maybe the manager did not look at his close enough. They didnt have any when i went in yesterday otherwise i would have got another and sold it for £275.
