When you upload yr images onto yr website, make sure the res is low enough so if they do copy they won't get more than a 6x4 print, if that.

I put my business name all over the image, yes it can be cloned out but thats time consuming and pointless due to the size.
My website runs on Flash so its harder to copy the photo itself. Granted you can "print screen" but what's that going to achieve.

I will not use programs such as Flickr for any of my shots as that is asking for trouble. I'm talking about business use here so that won't apply to most people.
Just put yr copyright over the images you treasure the most.

As soon as your images are uploaded to the internet they are under threat of being copied. It's entirely up to you on how well you protect them!

This has made me both cringe and admire the shot at the same time.

Although the thought of killing any animal revolts me, I have to admire the shot as technically fantastic.
Your shots have always provoked people, mostly those who do not understand where you are coming from.

The thing with this shot is that so many people kill mice in this way but most, if not all, would not photograph it.
Enter Mr Richard who has turned death into, what I think, a work of art. The B&W is as always, simply perfect, something that a colour shot would never portray.

So Paul, many people will think that this is cruel, but I really admire your daring to get that perfect shot and I believe that this is one of your greats,

Ps Any suggestions on how to humanely catch a mouse/rat that has a taste for my wife's prize marrows (that could be read wrongly ) Something is gnawing them and I would love to "re-home" the little sod!

Edited: my darn spelling

Andy,

Have you looked at

They do an > 20 quantity they maybe worth contacting?

Just an idea.
I saw Tic-Tac Pro at the Focus Exhibition 2 years ago and they were offering a free 20 sided photobook. They promised me that they were market leaders with huge experience in the field.

I designed my photobook and uploaded it to them. Six days later I received the book....It was awful. Absolutely awful, the colours were washed out and the quality of the printing was beyond any doubt the worst I had ever seen.
I compalined to them straight away and they admitted that it was a one off problem as they had a new printer installed. So they agreed to do it again...
Same problem, so they printed again....Exactly the same. Me thinking it might have been my photos I went somewhere else. This book was excellent!

So what I am trying to get at is this, Tic-Tac Pro are useless! Other customers had the same problem as I had searched for reviews afterwards. There are 2 sides to their business; Tic Tac Photo & Tic Tac Pro. If the pro side was as bad as that then I dread what the amateur side is like.

I would avoid with a 10 foot barge pole!

This all seems very weird as I wrote about a company that I was going to use and almost spent £1300 on. The company is Simply Electronics. Here is the link to my post link
I thank Greytop for pointing out the T's&C's which state that the offices are in fact in Hong Kong. I have had emails from them today for them to explain their stockists. None of their stock comes from the UK therefore their stock is grey import.

Basically my problem with them is to do with the warranty as they hold it rather than the manufacturer.

Alarms bells are ringing for quite a lot of internet companies.

Spad, I have sent you a PM

Hi Paul, I think you will find the both Pentax and Olympus introduced in body image stabilisation at pretty much the same time with their D-SLRs the K10D and E-510
Ooops, ok I should say I was really referring to Nikon & Canon. I have absolutely no experience of Olympus DSLR's. Only Olympus I knew about was the OM10. Cool camera that

Errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.....No!!!
I didn't have a chance to use it on that

I could have been the only person in the world to have a unique red K20 Luckily the camera and my studio flash didn't get splashed at all

No this was an outside shot and I was really impressed with it

Lots of smilies

I found a function the other day on my K20 that I have never used, I knew it was there but never had a use for it. It was the multi shot setting where you program in the amount of shots and the time frame in which you want those shots taken. I thought that it was a fantastic function and was perfect for the task I had in mind.

What I am getting at is that there are so many functions on the K10 & K20 that aren't availabe on other cameras. Ok this mode maybe on other cameras but Pentax cameras are full of cleverness!

I have been looking at other camera manufacturers lately and am gobsmacked by the fact that Pentax is the only one with SR built into the camera. Others may follow suit but Pentax was the first.

It is a shame that they are stopping the K20 as the K7 is not everyones cup of tea.
Well at least there will be a demand for the older K-series in the second hand market. The camera maybe "Old" but the technology is far from it!

John

The company themselves look great on the website and I imagine the customer service is ok. It doesn't explain clearly that the warranties are not from the manufacturer themselves. This is what has bugged me.
If I were to buy some kit from an online or highstreet store then I would expect a full manufacturer warranty. Not from some company who has been running for only 2 years and could go bust at any given moment especially in todays climate.
If that happened (ok there are a lot of "if's" here) then my warranty would be worth nothing at all.

Edit: spelling
