First DSLR owner from Devon

Hello

Just bought my first DSLR, Km with twin DAL lenses after owning a few compacts and film SLR a good couple of years back. Looking forward to getting out there and snapping away!

Hoping to get a polarizing filter pretty soon. With these cheap lenses is it worth spending out on the Hoya pro1 (around £50 seems the going price) or can anyone recommend other filters at a good price?

Not my first post here, so thank you for all the help on deciding.

Well the lenses are good, despite being low cost, but why not look on eBay? I actually sold two PL filters just a few days ago, and the most expensive only reached £5.00!

Still, while you decide there are plenty of pictures waiting to be taken, so have fun with that and we'll be pleased to see some when you're ready to post them.
Best regards, John

Welcome to the forum Greg.

Get posting some pics and don't rush into the filters.

I have some I rarely use, finding the standard lens good enough without!

Ah, joys of ebay...seems my account has been nicely hacked for the purpose of buying old mobile phones

Yeah, gonna hold fire for a while with the filters and just get out there when the weather perks up. Mind you this weather allows me to indulge in my primary passion - www.plymouthkiteclub.co.uk

Use to love landscape images, although I probably take far too many of Sidney our Springerdor!

Wish I'd had an SLR when I was away, not sure the Ricoh did it justice!
