If you've had a problem it's always a good idea to go back to the people concerned and tell them about it so they have a chance to put it right.

If we don't do this then nothing is learned from events as suppliers can be blissfully unaware that anything is needing attention.

Just a thought, but they are the right people to talk to.
Perhaps I am the unlucky one. John, this should go without saying but the matter was discussed with the person involved (and no one else) who is aware of my unhapiness and also said himself that "he did themselves no favours". I would never air the details in public but just wanted to know of other experiences, if any, so that a more informed decision can be made by myself if any of my equipment needed repairs in the future.
Thanks also to Kim C.

Has any members dealt with Harrow Technical and if so how did you get on?
My one experience was a bit harrowing.

Just interested.

As far as fitting my stuff I find the velcro pockets to be fine but I do agree that it would be nicer if the camera did fit in squarly. It won't due to the RHS being a different shape.

Received my Slingshot today.
On first fitting I felt like I had been handed a set of bagpipes to play without any practise
But after a while I got the knack and don't see any problems keeping her in tune.
It is beautifully compact and everything is now as snug as a bug. Have even fitted my new 50mm 1.4FA as well.
Only drawback for me is the fact that it can be worn on only one side (as far as I can see) and it would have to be the one I'm least comfortable with.
Well I learned to write with my right hand having been forced to abandon my natural left hand in school during the 50s so I should be able to overcome this small inconvenience.
Regards to all

Matt, niblue and lenscape;
That's good enough for me and I have just clicked "Buy".
Thanks so much for the most helpful information.

Reviews of these bags are generally very positive but it hard to know exactly what will actually fit in each model.
I have just upgraded to the K10d and need something bigger now.

So I would like to house the K10d with 50-200 attached, 16-47 and 70-300, all Pentax lenses. Additionally I like to carry my portable storage unit and it's cable, and the charger for the camera battery plus mini binoculars.
I know some members here use these bags so if possible I would appreciate advice on which one would do the trick.

Finally would there be space to stuff some waterproofs and would these bags remain in position on the back while cycling.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Many thanks in advance.

Thanks very much to you all.
At least now I can ensure that I won't allow myself to be ripped off.

A connection at work has a used Isds and kit lens for sale. I was thinking of getting something like this for my daughter. Havent seen it yet but assuming it is in good condition how much do you think I should pay for it. He hasn't mentioned money yet and I don't know him well enough to expect any favours.
What do you feel is the max I should pay for it.
Any advice greatfully received.

The prices have come down a bit since it came out so I feel I can afford one now.
I think I will try and sell my Isds with it's kit lens. Would that idea make it more saleable?
I will then be left with my 50-200 which I really like and normally keep on the camera.
So what lens would you recommend to fill the gap up to 50mm. I would also consider non Pentax here if the price was right and the quality on a par with the Pentax's.
My preference would be for a Pentax but as Bob Dylan says; money doesn't talk, it shouts or something to that effect.
Many Thanks
Tom
