Am having a problem with a Cannon ip8500 printer. Print out colour is as per moniter, but the overall image is too dark. I have tried the various profiles that came with the printer software but to no effect. Any ideas?

However, it is amazingly fast transfering from card to computer.

I`ll try a SanDisc extreme III card and let you know.
I`ve been backing up onto DVD RW discs, are non rewritable ones better
for long term storage?

anyone know the maximum data transfer rate for a DL camera?
Considering an Exreme III card but don`t want to waste money if the camera can`t utilise it.
ps. can the DL use cards larger than 1Gb

I was a bit concerned that the 16-45 might exhibit too much distortion at the widest setting, which is my main gripe about the 18-55 lens.

I`m new to this forum, so please forgive this question, which I assume has been asked many times before!
Just purchased a *ist DL, and the kit lens is, how can I put this, not the best lens I have used.
Has anyone tried the Sigma 18-50 f2.8 DC lens, or any other better quality optics?
regards Rick

Cheapest branded cards I have found. Sandisc extreme III 1Gb £23.50,
you also get a copy of Capture One LE with any extreme III card.
This offer is limited, so you need to check first.

Will I notice a lot of difference between a non TTL gun and a dedicated gun in terms of image quality?
If so then might it be better to purchase a Pentax dedicated gun, and spend the extra cash?
