Hi Dave,
Yes, distance not the problem as it worked earlier in the day (same tests) with daylight on the K-70 and also same distances worked on my old Kx and K30 in daylight, lowlight and artificial light 🙁
Thanks for the input.

I’m sure that I tried and 5 point with no change...... but I will give it a go when I get back just to make sure.

Hi all,
I’ve had a search of the forum which didn’t seem to show anything similar so here goes:

Just received my brand new K-70 body on the back of the PENTAX double discount 😁.

Everything seems OK apart from the AF in anything other than daylight.
I have tried both of my DAL kit lenses and in daylight, focus seems very quick, but in artificial lighting or low light, the AF hunts in and out and does not lock on. I have tried on subjects with contrast but still with no AF lock.
I have got out my trusty old K-x and K-30 and with the same lenses, lighting and subjects no AF problems.

Am I missing something blinding obvious in the setup or does it look like there is a fault with the camera?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Not sure if camelcamelcamel catches lightning deals, as I just checked and it doesn't show the £419 deal.

I trawl through the Amazon search for lightning deals, active and upcoming, but it can be laborious and I am not certain that all the upcoming deals (like this one) get listed, as I am sure that I had looked through earlier in the day and that there was no mention of it

I just can't believe that I forgot the £70 in Amazon vouchers I had in gift cards!

I should have got one...........

Just remembered this morning that I have £70 worth of Amazon vouchers somewhere!

DOH!!!

Would have now been waiting delvery of shiny new X-70.........

K-70 Body only currently £419.99 until about 22:15 tonight. Very tempted, if only I hadn't just put 2 new tyres on the car, agreed to buy my son a new phone.............

Hope it helps someone.

Well, it seems to work for me (Chrome browser), in that I get to the offer page at £6.85 pm, but can't say anymore than that as like others, I do't really like the idea of "renting" access to the software, although it is quite a lot of software you get access to:

DESKTOP APPS

Adobe Photoshop Lightroom CC Digital photo processing and editing.
Adobe Photoshop CC Image editing and compositing.

MOBILE APPS AND SERVICES

Adobe Lightroom for mobile Edit, organize and share images anywhere.
Adobe Photoshop Fix Photoshop retouching for everyone.
Adobe Photoshop Mix Creative mobile image editing.
Spark Page Turn words and images into beautiful web stories — in minutes. Formerly Adobe Slate.
Spark Post Create stunning social graphics — in minutes. Formerly Adobe Post.
Spark Video Create compelling animated videos — in minutes. Formerly Adobe Voice.
Adobe Portfolio Portfolio websites made easy.
Adobe Premiere Clip Video editing on the go.

And it does beat having to fork out a lumps sum to buy software upfront.....

Spotted this elsewhere.

I have been dithering over this for a while, but no excuse now .

Only fly in the ointment I can see is that they do not appear to have rolled out any updates for nearly a year now (one reason I was holding off buying) and suspect that there will not be any in the future, with Google letting it die off along with Picassa . I would like to be wrong........

Short notice, but there will be a farewell flight of the Seaking Mk4 Junglie (Commando carrier) around the south west tomorrow.

Proposed route link

Yeovilton without Junglies is going to be strange.

Back on as of 18:00 today for 2 hours, £484.00.

And it looks like on again tomorrow (30th) at 14:00 (price?).
