K-70 focus problem

Hi all,
Iíve had a search of the forum which didnít seem to show anything similar so here goes:

Just received my brand new K-70 body on the back of the PENTAX double discount 😁.

Everything seems OK apart from the AF in anything other than daylight.
I have tried both of my DAL kit lenses and in daylight, focus seems very quick, but in artificial lighting or low light, the AF hunts in and out and does not lock on. I have tried on subjects with contrast but still with no AF lock.
I have got out my trusty old K-x and K-30 and with the same lenses, lighting and subjects no AF problems.

Am I missing something blinding obvious in the setup or does it look like there is a fault with the camera?

Thanks in advance for any advice.
Nutter

Have you tried different focus area settings - spot, automatic etc?

If you are indoors are you far enough from your subject for the lens to be able to be focussed?

Hi Dave,
Yes, distance not the problem as it worked earlier in the day (same tests) with daylight on the K-70 and also same distances worked on my old Kx and K30 in daylight, lowlight and artificial light 🙁
Thanks for the input.
