I do not like fish eye. In my opinion nothing beats Sigma 10-20 for regular wide angle.

I too prefer the straight shot. It is very difficult to work with HDR. I do not think it works very well with night shots and/or large scenery. I beleive you need a photo with a lot of detail. The purpose of HDR is not to create a different picture, but a better one than the straight shot, especially with exposure. Take a look at my below picture:

You do not know whether it is HDR or not. It took me three hours and more than twenty tries.

I have K20D. Where do you see the shutter count?

In camera you should have taken a exposure reading from within the bar. However, if you do that the street will be completely washed out.
This looks like a perfect example for HDR. If you shot RAW then increase exposure +1 +2 etc and combine the files in HDR.

Good luck

Daltoned,

I will be 72 February 2010. In Turkey I am getting ready for my sixth exhibition on my birthday. My first one was in 1988 (Pentax LX) I will be visiting London this week. Planning to buy Pentax 100 mm. macro 2.8.
Hopefully I will have some macro shots in the exhibition.

Hi Christ welcome. Being 71 makes me eligible for over fifty group don't you think so.

By the way I am an amateur but getting ready for my sixth exhibition. My fifth one was nearly 20 years ago. Then I was using Pentax LX.

Best Regards

I have been using Pentax cameras since 1987. Now I have a Pentax K20 D. I have some excellent lenses, all of them between 15-20 years old. I still use them. Lately I learned that Pentax made a teleconverter and an AF adapter which makes the old lenses autofocusing: "SMC Pentax-F 1.7 AF Adapter" I beleive Pentax launched it in 1991.

Can anyone give me information about this adapter:

1. Is it useful?
2. Where can I buy it?
3. How much does it cost?

Thank you

Nurkuti
