I noticed that the green dot above the scale seems to indicate the default value and if you move off that the green bar below turns yellow.

I think I've asked this question before (so apologies) but I don't believe I ever got it answered so I'll ask again.

When I first switched my K20D on, were there default settings for each of the custom image settings?

For example my Bright shows:

Saturation 0
Hue 0
Contrast +1
Sharpness (S) +1

Are these the 'out of the box' settings or did I play with them?

Can you tell me what Natural, Portrait, Landscape, Vibrant and Monochrome should be set to please?

anything cheap - i.e. free I can use to automate backups? I'm using Windows XP and external hard drives...

once you've 'played' with the Custom Image settings in the Fn menu is it possible to reset them back to the default out of the box settings without resetting all of the Custom Settings?

Can I also add my vote for an RSS feed to be available for each of the sub forums please? I aggregate all my feeds in my mail software - MS Outlook which means I can pick up my mail and RSS posts at any time I like via PC or phone. It's just so much easier and if you do a search back through the posts quite a number of other Pentax User forum members would also like it. I appreciate others have different preferences for reading forum posts but it's just another way of offering choice and making the forum more accessible and ultimately more popular.

So how about it Pentax User team? Please.

there quite a few of these online backup tools - how have you found Carbonite? How much have you backed up? Is it unobtrusive? Presumably you've tested a restore? How did that go?

I've 30gb+ pf photographs alone that I'm backing up to two other external hard drives in rotation. But I have to remember to do it - Carbonite would automate that for me - true?

too true! I got my 'new' K20D last Saturday and decent photo opportunities since then have been scarce!

...backed up my hard drive and photo collection today after I realised I haven't since June last year!!
