I've just changed from a K100D to a K20D. I'm finding I'm having to look twice through the view finder for each picture - once to compose and focus and then again to check the viewfinder symbols down the bottom. I don't seem to be able to see the whole lot in one 'eyefull'. I don't recall having the same problem with the K100D. For info I wear glasses and keep them on when taking pictures.

I was wondering if the Pentax O-ME53 Magnifying Eyecup might help or is that just going to magnify the problem?!

feedity seems to work ok. I now have new forum posts appearing in my inbox in Outlook. I have to click on the link in the email to read the full post but at least I know when there's a new post and what the subject is. I can then choose if I want to read further. Neat!

I'm not very technical but I have found something called an RSS Feed Generator which is supposed to work on any web site. I had a quick play with one example at http://feedity.com/ which seemed pretty easy to use...

apologies if I've missed this somewhere but is there any way to get an RSS feed of posts to this forum?

We did some snorkelling - sea was very cold though so had to wear wet suits. Saw lots, seals, turtles, moon fish, etc but for me it was all a bit of a blur as I wore my glasses inside my goggles. Wish I'd known about prescription lens goggles before I went! We have some underwater pictures but they were all from a disposable film camera.

As I said earlier I made a huge mistake buying the camera just before the holiday, not reading the manual properly and not having a few test shoots before I went.

I'm embarrased to admit but I lost almost a half days shooting (albatrosses) beacuse I was using the preview button until I realised the shots weren't saved! RTFM!

so what conclusions do we draw? If the manufactured date is correct most K20Ds have sat on a shelf somewhere for 6-9 months before being sold?

I don't understand the shutter count. John941, are you saying you only took two shots from new and already it showed up as 5008? Are they not set to zero at 'birth' then?!

I can't remember when I got my first camera but it was a few years back - a Pentax S1a! I've went through a few more 35mm film cameras since then, all of which I think will still be in the loft somewhere, before I bought my first digital - K100D - a couple of years back.

My wife and I were 50 and had been married 20 years so went on the trip of a life time to the Galapagos, buying the K100D to capture the trip. I learnt some important photography lessons on that trip not least of which was read the manual first - at least twice!

I'd like to move on now and I'm looking to buy a K20D soon and have already received lots of good advice here on Pentax User. Thanks everyone.
