Price reduction - Now £260 including RMSD, which I think represents a pretty good deal considering the lens' condition and filters included.

More photos available on request. Also available for pickup in Edinburgh.

I'm having a lens reshuffle, and my Sigma 105mm EX DG Macro regretfully has had the least use so is going to be stepping aside.

It's in excellent condition, with no external marks and only a few specks of dust inside. These don't affect the images, which are gorgeous! Asking £285 including Royal Mail Special Delivery.

It comes with

- The original box
- Carry pouch
- Hood
- 58mm Kenko Skylight filter
- 58mm Jessop Polariser
- Front and rear caps
- Plus a bonus 77mm Sigma lens cap (Fits to the front of the lens hood when mounted)

After some deliberation I went with the K-r: and improvement over the DL2 is many times what I was expecting, very pleased with it! Being able to film at 10mm with anti-shake is amazing.

Better change the username now...!

Hello,

After 6 years and ~25,000 shutters, my trusty Ist DL2 has packed up and won't turn on. Should I be surprised by this?

It had been going through batteries very quickly in the past 6 months, to the point where it would say they were empty when in fact they were straight out the packet. Possibly a voltage sensing problem? My experience of having consumer electronics repaired has usually been an expensive one, so it's between doing that (cost unknown) and going for a K-r (local shop has one left). Any opinions?

Thanks,

Doug

How many of us have exceeded 10,000 images before upgrading a body? Even that is only 10% of the rated shutter life
My DL2 has just had its 17500th click - still going strong (and so it should be!)

As we've just seen, speeling mistakes can be the downfall of an auction - I find it can be worth checking here link for similar mess ups. It obviously won't pick up every typo, but it has a few ideas. Though the downside with searching for Pentax is that the results get somewhat polluted by Volvo Penta marine diesel parts...

I'd love to to say it was me who picked up on that auction.... sadly not

Pentax are sponsoring a deep sea photography venture - I presume the engineers on the project were looking for a 'weather sealed' camera...
