the wide max aperture should make it easier to spot an issue

thanks Steve that's good to know, I'll probably still try both types of light but if I can't get a consistant reading under tungsten I'll know why!

don't suppose you'd be interested in outlining your tightly controlled and robust process to save us re-inventing the wheel?

I think I'd have used the extra stop or so of ISO to stop down the lens some, but then I'm a sucker for star point light sources!

I don't know if it's an artifact of the fact that I'm more likely to be at wide aperture, but the issue seems worse on my K10D in poor tungsten lighting.

I think it might be of value to do the experiment under poor lighting as well, and if the results are significantly different then keep a note of both values.

Certainly I'll be testing with my 50mm 1.4 wide open anyway.

oi, I have fond memories of my KR5 SuperII (bought for £30 with a lens because I was a poor student and couldn't aford the going rate for a K1000)

I would say the only difference between you and a Bentley owner
is that You Dream a Lot!

How do you make a Policeman laugh!!
Tell him your Ricoh just got nicked!

there may have been some minor technical differences between my Fabia and a Continental GT, but those are just implimentation details right?

I'd certainly rather shoot a Ricoh with a K mount than eventually have to buy a Nikon and replace all my lenses because Pentax has gone out of business.
