I like the imperfections in the onions. They match up with the tiles to give a rustic look. Much more real than if they were perfect, since when was the last time you saw 3 perfect onions together?

my friend and I made another expedition to the college dark room today, this time armed with a bulk loader, 12 cassettes and some film developer.

After some faffing around we managed to figure out how to work the loader and load some PanF which has been sitting in a tin for best part of 20 years.

It worked fine, probably the finest grain film I've ever seen.

Ilford deserve congratulating for this one methinks.

Thank heavens you weren't holding a camera phone....I don't think it's illegal yet to hold a camera whilst driving!

This shot was taken hand held at 1 second and 18mm, in a diesel car with the engine on tickover. It's quite a smooth diesel, but nonetheless.

no, it's a covert group of Pentaxians, annoyed at the delay caused by the last buglary. They now have their lenses, but the rest of us must wait.

Hi and welcome. I have hit some financial fun with other things recently so have stopped looking, but I don't think I had seen a 50-500 for quite some time.

If you're desperate, SRS microsystems have the 170-500, but I hear the 50-500 is a better lens.

not meaning to do Pentax out of a sale here, but you do realise you can get an adaptor to use M42 screw lenses on your Canon right?

Of course there are numerous other very good reasons for switching to Pentax, but I wouldn't want you to spend loads of money only to discover that what you had was good

edit: simultaneous post, I see you have indeed realised the above and I agree with your reasoning 100%

To be honest I'm also still annoyed that they completely dumped all film-related products and all used equipment. I know film gear new or used is not what the vast majority of consumers are looking for, but still it turned me against Jessops.
the shops in Cambridge didn't, I bought some film developer from them only yesterday and they have a small but servicable dark room display.

The used equipment thing is annoying though.

I agree with John, I don't like Jessops, I think of them as the PC World of cameras, but if they disapear do you really think the vacant stores will be taken over by other camera shops? They'll be selling shoes, handbags or coffee within a week.
