I bet the people who bought Samsung 12-24mm's from Dixons for
£199 are still laughing!

The same lens with a Pentax badge is currently £739 at SRS

Tell me about it, luckily I managed to snag one off ebay for £219 on Sun.
It's on its way now, so time will tell how good a deal that was.
thought my new K30 would like a lens as a welcoming present

Evening all
I know the 50 quid cashback expires on the 15th, is it only available from approved dealers or can I buy it from anywhere and mail in the receipt for the cashback?
Ive seen it for a low as £360 today so Im tempted

Just gutted I missed the true bargains pre-xmas, but it was pre-xmas so spare cash didn't exist

Have a look at this guys photo's on flickr
He uses normal lenses 35 or 50mm, which he reverses and using extension tubes he has produced some absolutely stunning images with an old K200D

It just goes to show that it is the person behind the camera rather than the equipment that produces the truly great images

I own a K20D with a 18-50 kit lens and a SMC M 100mm F4 macro, would any of the filters left be any good for these?
If so Im interested as everyone say you need some filters!

I spent a long time watching the 2nd hand market when I bought last month.
To be honest, I don't thing the prices are realistic, 2nd hand dslr's are way overpriced when you consider the cost of a new K-x. I was seeing ist* go for 170 and the K100D never below £200.
That is partly why I went for my K20D, I really couldn't face spending that sort of money for such old models compared to new prices. I got it for the same price as a new K-x, which seemed a trade off for me that I could accept as it is a better camera
That is the open market for you, if people pay it, then the price is OK

It looks like Im joining this club..

I have just ought the 100mm f4 Macro K Lens, which Im presuming is manual?
Im guessing that I have to use the green button stop down metering trick?

I only recently bought my first dslr (K20D)and have yet to post process anything - but when I do I will probably go for gimp - its free and is a good as photoshop, so seems worth learning.
Im on the outskirts of London and am happy to go shooting in London, once I have figured out all the options on my camera!
