In reply to David, yes, there is a filter on, but it makes no difference on or off. Fletcher and John, thanks for commenting. I think I need to try the same photograph using a different lens.

Recently I've noticed that I'm getting a green lens effect when shooting from a dark area into light. The attached photograph is part of a bracket of three for an HDR image and the exposure bias was set to +2. You can clearly see what I mean, but I've highlighted it anyway. The other two in the bracket set are showing a similar effect.

Camera is a Pentax K-30, Lens is the Sigma 10-20mm. For this particular photograph Focal Length was f11, Exposure was 1 second and the ISO was 100.

I've never noticed this lens effect before. Does anyone know if it is a problem or just a characteristic of the lens?

I have done two 52 projects now through a Group on Flickr. No theme as such, just the goal to produce one good photograph each week. This years 52 is coming to an end, with only two weeks to go and I will probably give it a go again next year. Generally, I've not struggled to get a photograph but sometimes I have left it to the last minute to take the photograph within the deadline time for each week.

Committing yourself to a 365 takes a lot of dedication and it is very easy to fall by the wayside with the 365. I know I've tried it. It's not just the taking the photograph, its the processing and then posting to the web so that someone sees your work. That all takes time to complete each day.

Good luck with whatever you decide to do

For a limited time only Adobe have opened access to the Photoshop Photography Program for anyone who does not own a qualifying product.

The special Creative Cloud plan includes access to Photoshop CC and Lightroom 5, plus feature updates and upgrades as they are available, 20GB of cloud storage for file sharing and collaboration, and a Behance ProSite.

It will cost you £8.78/month when you sign up for a one-year plan, but you need to join by December 2, 2013.

It's a sort of Catch 22 situation. You might decide not to switch to the CC and stick with whatever version of Photoshop you might use now for several years. If you change your camera are you going to have problems with RAW files if you buy a new camera or is that where the option of having DNG as a RAW format now becomes very useful thing to have.

Photoshop as a standalone will cost $19.99 a month compared to buying it outright at the moment for £631 I am pleased about this, I am currently running the student version which cost £206 and was getting to be rather worried about the next upgrade cost, this makes it easier for me and is actually cheaper over three years

I think the only people who are genuinely disappointed will be those who use pirated copies and have never paid for LR or PS as the subscription method will make pirating a PITA.

The subscription method makes PS available to everyone at a reasonable cost without the huge initial financial outlay.
I'd be interested to know where you got the $19.99 from. Maybe the more expensive prices I've seen are for the CS suite. To be honest I switched to Elements couple of years back because I realised I wasn't using all the features of the full blown Photoshop

This could also affect a lot of plugin developers, many of which run best on photoshop.

Just been reading that the CS range, which includes Photoshop, will only be available from the Creative Cloud. This means you will no longer be able to buy the software from Adobe. instead you will pay them $49.99 a month to use the software. Stop paying and you no longer have access. As far as I can see Lightroom and Elements are not affected by this.
