I wouldn't worry about the shutter synch speed too much. The effective speed of the exposure is the speed of the flash which will be around 1/1000sec or even faster, so is quite adequate for freezing any movement. Also as you are exposing expressly for the light from the flash any ambient light will be at too low a level at 1/60th sec to affect the final image unless you are using an even slower shutter speed for a particular effect.

I too have puchased the same gimbal head as jeallen01 with pretty much the same buying experience. The seller is extremely professional with a very quick delivery and although I haven't used the head in anger yet it works smoothly and seems well made.

Yeah I was hoping to put names to faces too and I'm sure it will be an excellent day. I am really disappointed not to be able to make it, although it is somewhat tempered by the thought of the gig, and hopefully you'll post some pics of the day...........please.

Sorry to have to say that I'm now unable to make it. I've just been surprised with a trip to a rock gig, (Meatloaf) in Manchester on the same day. Why do these things happen like this!
