There's never going to be an agreement about HDR - you either love it or hate it (and I think most 'ordinary' people would think this to be a lovely, well composed image) but there's a point beyond which it becomes 'over-done'. I think this image is close to that point (one or two of mine on flickr are well past this point, I admit!!)

It would be interesting to see one of the original 'out of camera' images.

Still love it tho!

I've got one I rarely use and was thinking about selling to replace with a prime. Haven't checked it recently, but it's been rarely used. If you don't find one, let me know and I'll check it out.

Hi Will

I'm just down the road near Corby, and I'd love to have chance to explore your farm! - I'm not sure about Saturday at the moment but will you know by the end of the week.

Been busy work wise and would be great to have a camera day!

Happened to me a few times - usually when I'm shooting in 'burst' mode, Caf and the battery is less than 100% charged. Only solution is always to take the battery out.

There are these link that have been around for quite a while.

The only thing about them is that I would prefer to see the images displayed with some sort of mount/frame as they would be in the wall. I suppose I could add one in photoshop......

They're nice - I hadn't seen ones that large.

I might be tempted... but still like to have a printed version to carry around.

Yes, I've signed up for it too - great idea!

A good picture looks so much nicer in a decent print at A4 or larger. But there are only so many walls in the house!

How do other members store/display prints? Can anyone recommend a nice format portfolio binder or something similar?

Or....is everyone content with computer displays?

That's what I'm currently using and loving it! But I'd like a dedicated macro that allows a bit closer working, although not to the extent of the Sigma 70mm I have.

The DA*300mm is great for flowers too! The sharpness drops of quicker than with a shorter focal length lens I think.

I had wondered about extention tubes... might give that a try a some point - useful info from Colin - thanks!.

This was announced some time ago and as I see it won an award last month (though I don't know how!!) I e-mailed Sigma to get a date for release (and I specifically highlighted Pentax mount). This is their reply:

Good afternoon,

We are very excited about the arrival of the lens too.

Unfortunately at this stage we are currently availing an arrival date
from Sigma Japan.

As soon as we know, we will update our website.

Kind regards

So it still seems they are planning a Pentax version, as he didn't say otherwise. Hope it's here for the butterfly season!
