Actually didn't occur to me, because I liked the sky colours. But in fact black & white is nice. (Just a quick conversion, didn't mess with the contrast or anything, not sure it needs it).

I have a 49mm lens cap which is the correct size for your Pentax-A 50mm lens (Checked the filter size here: http://www.pentaxforums.com/lensreviews/SMC-Pentax-A-50mm-F1.7-Lens.html).

It is not Pentax branded, it is just a generic lens cap. However it is of no use to me as I don't have any lenses with a 49mm thread. You can have it for the price of postage.

I'll second the recommendation. For the last 3 years or so I've used only Integral Ultima Pro cards for everything I use memory cards for including DSLR, compact camera, mp3 player, PDA (though I don't use one any more). They are fantastic value for money compared to other (reliable) brands and I have never had a single problem with one, though I have had problems with other brands in the past, even the much praised SanDisk.

Not quite - there was plenty in Oxgangs, but we're special out here. For some reason it's always a degree or two colder than the rest of Edinburgh. (I watch the temperature readout in my car - drive away from Oxgangs, it gets warmer, drive back towards it, it gets colder. Without fail). As a result we always get it here when it's just borderline and the rest of Edinburgh gets away with it. It also lingers longer here than anywhere else in Edinburgh.

Looks like I might have a deal as I found the previous ad I referred to on here and it seems the lens is still available. If that doesn't happen for some reason I'll have a closer look at the one mifsuds are listing. Thanks for the tips, guys.

Considering a mint example of this lens which had been used only twice was advertised on here a while ago for £230.00 (IIRC), it's worth a shot.

As my financial position is better than I'd hoped I'm going to pick one of these up in the next couple of weeks anyway. However, I thought I'd post here in the off chance somebody has one they want to get rid of before just buying it new.

The price of a new one on SRS is £279.00 and it comes with a two year warranty, so I'd only be interested in a copy in extremely good condition (pref. mint/near mint), with all original included accessories and at a substantial reduction to the new price (due to the lack of warranty). Preferably boxed.

I'm not looking for the DA L version with the plastic mount, metal mount only please.

It should go without saying that it must be in perfect functioning order with no focusing or other mechanical or optical issues, but I'm saying it anyway just to cover the bases.
