Before we can say, you'd better let us know exactly what it is. There are 6 variants of this lens. K, M type 1, M type 2, A, F, & FA. Which do you have ?

Actually, there a seven versions if you count the FA* 80-200mm but if you got one of those for £20 . . .

EDIT: Oops, just seen the subject line

Before you buy Dell, have a look at Acer's notebooks here. They are well specified and robust. Buy three years collect & return warranty for about £100.00 = peace of mind computing. Their additional warranty also includes accidental damage cover. I use them exclusively.

If so, what are the benefits over CS2 that you like for digi-photogs?

Thanks for the info Tim,

but, before you all rush online to download it, ACR v4.x is only for PS CS3. It will not work for CS2 or earlier.

Lightroom will however include support for new cameras as and when an update is available.

. . . I wonder how long before C1 v4 appears...
Later this year is what PhaseOne are telling everyone. If their past record is a measure, it'll not be with us 'til 2008.

I joined their forum to complain at the promised, but missed, delivery of C1 3.7.7 in 'Q1 2007'. Guess what, complaining is not allowed ? ? ?

PhaseOne have finally released a version of Capture One which supports Pentax K10D & K100D (& presumably the K110D too) PEF's.

The Pentax 12-24mm DA is a rectilinear lens. Not quite as wide as the Sigma 10-20mm but an excellent lens for landscapes.

Fisheye = curvilinear, which means that straight lines at the extreme edges of the image . . . are resolved as curves. A rectilinear lens resolves straight lines as straight lines.

Personally, I don't like the fisheye perspective and if the Sigma is rectilineaar, I would buy Sigma.
