Pete,

You've shown us some great photographs taken with that kit. Why are you selling it?

Regards,
The last time Pete sold his K10D he had a bill to pay. Probably it's a bigger bill this time so the extras have to go too.

G
He did George, and if I remember correctly, he bought another one within a week or so.

Thanks for the comments and help

How would i get the dogs eyes right in future? what program do you use?

Also thanks i will have to try that with the aperture as soon as i get my car back
To avoid red eye in humans and/or green eye in dogs, yellow in cays, or other colours in animals eyes you need to either, a) not use flash at all, or b) use a flash mounted as far away from the lens as possible so as to increase the angle that the flash light travels from flash to subject and back to camera lens.

You will almost always suffer from this problem when using the cameras on board flash because it is physically too close to the lens.

Try a hot shoe mounted flash and bounce it from a white ceiling or wall if your subject needs extra light.

EDIT: Follow this link to Wikipedia for a full explanation.

I got my frst Pentax DSLR, a *istDS with a Tamron 28-200 lens, because somebody had left it in a taxi.

It was handed in to lost & found at a police station in London by the cab driver. After the statutory holding period it was unclaimed and handed back to the cab firm who then put it on eBay.

I snapped it up ( no pun intended )for £100.00 knowing the mode dial to be broken (maybe why it was left in the cab). I had the dial (broken printed circuit board) fixed by Pentax and it worked great.

It wasn't a cheap experience though. Since then I've bought about 4 *istD's (one left) and a K10D plus a shed load of lenses having caught the Pentax digital bug.

So if you're not into photography and you find an expensive looking camera in a cab . . . leave it there, it'll save you a small fortune.

PS: All the images were wiped from the camera's CF card by the police for data protection reasons (they said).

Cheers,

. . . I can hardly see the reason for a digital 645.
Neither can Pentax, they've shelved the project.

The first issue is the image circle, which is smaller for the DA/DA* series lenses. Vignetting will occur to some degree (probably quite a lot).
Secondly, these lenses, in common with the FA-J series, have no aperture ring so you'd need to use a Pentax camera body which can set the aperture for you. I think this rules out any of the MZ series having a 0 as the last number. IE: MZ-6 may be OK, but an MZ-60 is not OK I think, but I'm not certain. Also, the MZ-S can't set the aperture on these lenses either although I believe the lenses will work in the camera's Auto mode(s).

Integrated battery grip nice bit of photshop work
If I were half as good as that with Photoshop, I'd be one happy bunny. The real camera looks good though. No more firmware updates for the K10D from now on I fear.

IMHO, 35mm film may well die off one day, but not until DSLR's can deal with a similar dynamic range. 120 film has some way to go yet because there is no 'affordable for the masses' digital alternative as yet. PhaseOne digital backs (and the necessary body and lenses) are a bit beyond the finances of even the keenest amateur I'd say. So I reckon 35mm will die before 120 roll media.

If all of the main DSLR manufacturers shift to full-frame sensors at some point, and they can handle the dynamic range of film, that'll be the end of 35mm film because there simply will be no need to use it any more.
