Lovely views from up there and only a stone's throw from Chequers.

I prefer the second image, but there's something strange about it. Have you heavily PP'd it or did you use flash?

Err, I think you meant it decreases the recycle time . . .

Mine recycles in about 2 secs after a 100% discharge. You still need batteries in the flash though.

What it means for me is that I can spend 2+ hours on the race track on winter evenings without needing to replace the batteries in the flash half way through the evening. Result.

I have one and ordered another for my other 540.

Works well and handy that you can bolt it to the tripod mount.

Thanks for the update, glad you got it sorted.

It's not easy to determine image file sizes based on the sensor size.

Quite apart from the image itself, there's a lot of other information recorded about the camera settings, known as EXIF (EXtended InFormation).

You can download Mattmatics "Pentax Dslr Flash guide" from here.

His eBook explains very well how Pentax P-TTL flashes work and how to get the best from them.

Matt is a PentaxUser.co.uk admin.

Have you tried? If you had, you'd know that it can't be done.

Repeat after me . . . "RAW image files cannot be modified".

There is no RAW processing software that I know of that has the ability to edit RAW files directly. Instead, they store your edits in a sidecar file or some other repository where your changes are stored. The RAW file, be it .PEF, .DNG, or any other is not changed, which makes all RAW editing software non-destructive.

Jim, if you think you are going to make any sense of a piece of software with the sophistication that Lightroom has in the time you have given it, believe me, you won't. You've hardly given it a fair trial.

If you bought it new from a Pentax Pro dealer you have 2 years warranty. In fact, I think under European law you have 2 years warranty anyway, and up to 6 years in certain cases.

Excellent record, well done.

My sister was married in that church and I lived less than a mile from it. I could see the manor from my back garden.

For whatever reason though, having lived there for 30+ years, I never visited the inside of the manor. Shameful really.

There's nothing about that image that would instantly make me think that it was an HDR shot, primarily because it's not overdone like so many are.

I would eventually wonder if the roof of the church was missing though as I've never seen a church as bright inside, which might lead me to think it was an HDR shot.

Lovely image all the same.
