Would this work on my K100 Super? If it would/does, I would be very grateful of your generous offer I just have the built in flash at the moment, which is a bit lacking, and is prone to showing shadows of the lens

Regards

Serendipity (Mick)
Yes it'll work, but . . .

. . . TTL will not work as it's not supported by your camera. Only the *istD and *istDS bodies support TTL.

When switched to TTL, the flash will fully discharge. Alternatively you can use the H or L manual settings.

Two questions I aint sure about. When taking images for HDR is it best to shoot all raw or all JPEG?
What would you consider a good quality raw converter? Is PSE6 a good raw converter?
sorry 3 questions. thanks for all the above help anf info really interesting and useful
Johna
Shoot RAW. With one image, you can get +3 to -3 stops variation. In 1/2 stop increments that's 9 images and more than enough for any HDR software to produce a reasonable image.

I'm quite happy with Photomatix. The few times I've used it, its produced good results.

You might have a look at Artizen as well.

Looks like a bee to me, and a not very happy one at that. Clues:- Black antennae, generally hairy all over, pollen stuck to its hairy body (biggest clue).

The 645D was 'announced' back in September 2006. It ain't here yet, neither is it likely to be.

I know you have a weight limit, but have you considered taking a second body?

You could then have 2 different zoom ranges to hand and minimize the need to change lenses in a camera unfriendly environment.

A travelling tip: No matter how hot it is when you travel, wear or take a coat which has loads of pockets. Stuff the pockets with batteries, iPod, lenses, etc. Coats are never weighed at check-in. Often, hand baggage is not weighed either but best not to risk it.

When you've checked in, you can transfer the gear from your coat pockets to your hand luggage.

You may look daft wearing/taking a coat in the height of summer, but you'll be able to take more gear with you.

I haven't used this trick for a while but I have in the past travelled a lot with Easyjet and checked in 20Kg, and carried on 20Kg, 15Kg in a bag, and 5Kg in my coat. It was hot, and hard work, but when needs must . . .

In the first one, he/she looks a bit like an extra from the film, Gremlins.
