In use, I don't think this bolt-on GPS unit is going to be any more use than any other handheld device. At least my Garmin can get me home if I get lost .

The Metz has a slightly higher output, though maybe not enough to influence your decision alone. I think the Metz also has a secondary fill-in flash too.

My personal preference is the Pentax AF540FGZ as it's output is sufficient for my needs.

I think some here have had problems with faulty Metz flashes.
