A weekday when the church is empty would be ideal.
Your AF160 flash is a bit underpowered really and could use some diffusion to soften the light a bit.
Don't be afraid of pushing the ISO up either. You haven't said which camera you have but for info, I took around 700 shots yesterday in an indoor show jumping arena. It was a dull day, mixed lighting, some sodium - orange & some natural - not very much, a real challenge. The lighting changed constantly during the day and within the arena.
K20D + DA* 50-135mm, TAv, 1/320, f2.8, ISO 3200 and higher mostly. The images came out remarkably well. Noisy, yes, but Lightroom deals with it quite well.

I've found a utility called UpdateDates (Google for it) which will change the modification time by applying a pos or neg offset to one file, or a folder full of files. It doesn't affect the creation date though.
My immediate problem is resolved for the moment.
If you can produce a utility that can update the creation and modification dates independently by a positive or negative offset of w:days, x:hrs, y:mins, z:secs, I'd buy it. It'd be a bonus if EXIF data of raw image files could be changed in the same way.
That should keep you busy for the afternoon
Cheers,

But you don't only use it for macro, Pete. Ill take the AF anyday.
Go on tell Mike you will lend him that 180mm for a month in exchange for that flash. Fair swap I reckon
Mike, if you get anywhere near Murcia before you return to UK, you are welcome to try it out . . . and drool.

I've found a utility that changes the EXIF date/time in the way I want (EXIF Date Changer) but it works only on JPG's. I can't find one to change the Windows file creation/modifed dates/times in the same way.
Essentially, I want to adjust a batch of files by 1hr 20mins or so, without having to go through them one at a time.
We had two cameras covering the one event and want the images in chronological order. I've tweaked my files with a combination of a File date change utility and Lightroom to change the EXIF by one day. It's the Canon images that are the problem
I'm not sure I'll find a utility to edit raw file EXIF, but I'll give you an hour to come up with something

The problem is, we didn't synch camera times. His Canon 30D had the right date, wrong time. My K20D had the right time, wrong date.
I can find plenty of utilities to set file creation dates/times and changing the date on my images is no problem. The Canon images need an adjustment of about 1hr 20mins.
Does anybody know of such a utility that can add/subtract time to/from a time stamp.?

A last point, people allways emphasize on the fact that the clock of your camer should be synchronised with your PC or with the GPS receiver and that it should be to the second. I have found that this is not completely true. I have my GPS logger turned on the whole day when I'm out with the camera, so if the time is off by 1 or 2 minutes what kind of distances are you talking about then? When you are flying in an F16 it is a lot but when you are walking or cycling...
I shot about 1000 images yesterday at a horse show. I'd carefully checked that the time on the camera was right the night before. When I came to download the images I discovered . . . the date was wrong by one whole day.

I've used my SMCP 50mm 1:1.2 at a number of concert events and agree with the comments to be found here.
If your experience of the lens is different, maybe it's due to manafacturing variances, as we've found with newer lenses.
I do like the lens though, and would not sell it unless I could do a straight swap for an SMCP-A version.
