I think the reason this has not sold here, and I'm sure there are many that would like this kit, is your reluctance to ship it.

It really will not cost very much to post/courier it.

I'd buy it in a heart beat, but I live in Spain and your terms have excluded the whole of Europe, and anyone much more than 20 miles from your location. You need to expand your audience and offer shipping costs.

If you order from Adobe's Store they will keep a record of your serial number(s). If you lose everything you can recover Lightroom and your serial number(s) from them.

Curiously, the boxed version is usually a bit cheaper than the download version.

No flash if you can get away without it. The shadows will be too noticeable. If you need flash because of very poor lighting, use a hot shoe flash with a diffuser.
Convert some shots to monochrome, for some reason band shots look better in mono, especially detail shots.
The K5 is good up to 3200 or even 6400 ISO
Shoot RAW, you'll stand a better chance of recovering otherwise unusable JPG images.
Get some detail shots of guitar strings, drum kit etc.
Shoot from well below (get on your knees) and above eye height (stand on a chair or table if you can) to get images with some impact.
Use a fast lens, f2.8 or faster if you have one. My favourites for gigs where I can get close are the DA* 55mm and FA 31mm Ltd, both wide open.
Take loads of shots, and then some more. You haven't got the film camera constraints of 24 or 36 exposures.

Any in camera post processing of RAW files is ignored by third party RAW processors like Lightroom. The Pentax software supplied with your camera will apply these settings to the image that you will see on screen after import. EG: An image taken with the B&W option will show in colour in LR, but B&W in the Pentax software.

I think you may have misidentified it, I'm 99.999% certain that is a praying mantis of some sort. The head and the legs say it's a mantid to me, and in Spain we have both green and grey/brown ones.

Great image though.
Thanks Peter, If I am right it is a :Stick Mantid:Found on shrubs, long grass and open forest in North Qld.But I could be wrong.
OK Don, the 'stick' part of it's common name is where the confusion has come from. A stick insect is a Phasmid, and is vegetarian, feeding on plant matter. A Praying Mantis or Stick Mantid is carnivorous, eating other insects, possibly even stick insects.

There's yet another example of old technology in your pic, that the electronic calculator has replaced.

As far as I know, a film camera is more of a mechanical device and a pass in O level physics would have made him none the wiser.

You are quite right quoting the question, but sometimes people ask the wrong question, and some of us can see that.

The OP also wrote "you've got to start somewhere and I thought that a manual film camera would be the thing to learn on."

There is no need to start to learn photography with old technology, using newer technology will facilitate learning much faster.

I don't believe slates and chalk is used much in schools nowadays either. Many of them are equipped with computers, tablets, and all manner of things technological, even digital cameras.

Hopefully the OP will read my posts and take from them my intention to help him learn photography fast, not criticize his choice of medium to learn with.

I think I've made my opinion clear, if not, to reiterate, film is for enthusiastic amateurs and professional photographers who know how and when to choose film over digital and vice versa. Anybody learning photography today should start with a digital camera, end of. Besides, where on our planet is he likely to be able to enroll on a beginners course based around film photography?
