What kind of lighting did you use? Watch photography is one of the hardest thing to do. I had to take around 6-7 different shot for each watch and each watch normally take me around 1 - 1.5 hours to shoot since it is extrmely hard to get the angle right and lighting is extramly diffcult as well since the watch is so small and with with the lights I got it is not easy to control lighting.

Yes softbox from the top and the product itself is in a product ligtbox picked up from ebay.

get the 2.8 if you can. you need the extra stop to produce sharp images at such focal length

You spend so much money on a 16mp camera and lenses to expect a small 12x8 print? Yes most of the time we don;t even print out our pictures but the point of these reviews are to assume that you want to produce picture that are good enough for art gallery prints.

At the end of the day, the 18-135mm lens is not aimed for the professional market. It is for you have carry only one lens to cover your holiday snaps.

For me even when I go travel I do carry most of my lenses with me, The only lens I always leave at home is the DFA 100mm macro which I have the 50-135 to cover.

I normally mount my sigma 18-50 2.8 to walk around but it is not the best lens and if possible I switch to the FA31mm or the sigma 50mm 1.4 to shoot.

If you want good images you can not be lazy, you just have to change lenses when needed. If the 18-135mm is very good then who is going to buy the prime lenses?

Nice, I like the first one more. The second one is a bit over done to me.

Now I discover that the K5 suffer from front or back focusing depending on the distance of the subject. e.g front focus if focus on close objects and back focus when focus on object far away say more than 8 meters. I can not use the fine focus adjustment function to sort this out.
