Taken yesterday with KP and DA* 300mm F4 and 1.4 TC (420mm) at a distance, and max cropping, so small files, f6.7, 1/1000th sec, and ISO 400.
I'm fairly sure it's a Sparrowhawk and dare I say a Female. It kindly turned around to pose but was hiding best it could!

Yes it does in this episode, what with having to abandon the shoot as SWMBO got too cold AGAIN! leaving at 21:12 hours just as it was getting dark enough!!
Then having red streaks in my shots due to a pest with a Drone who was flying over me most of the time with it's red lights.
and every man and his dog (literally sniffing around my tripod LOL)was there due to the Easter break, I thought it might be a bit busy but I was shocked.

Thanks for the interesting replies, MikeP yours is sharper, an excellent picture, I did have fairly high contrast set in my 'presets i.e. pp3 file, and then reduced it to get this result. I know other factors can affect sharpness, I.e. atmosphere for one. Oh I did use a tripod BTW albeit a travel one, not the sturdiest perhaps.

Last night's moon inbetween the clouds. DA* 300 plus 1.4 TC f6.3 1/160th sec ISO 400, (no Looney Eleven this time) K1 mkII. PP'd in RT with massive crop 100% ? file size only 416kB and that was bumped up with the copyright text! I tweeked the contrast down a bit and preferred the colours more than the brightness, any comments welcome.

I saw this fella yesterday and took a quick snap with the DFA 100 Macro 2.8 WR and 1.4 TC. It wouldn't keep still for a second!
I think it's an American Oil Beetle (Meloe americanus).

Actually you can't, as your using a monitor and computer equipment. Which needs to be covered by a TV licence.

As long as you don't watch any Live or bbc catchup , and probably >90% of tv is not live' anyway. e.g. All4, My5, Nowtv, youtube with no live streaming of say Sky. etc....
