It wasn't a composite but old photos that I laid out about 50 times before I got the right design and then converted to b&w with a bit of PP foxing seasoning! I agree with Ken - you sd do more of those Hefty.

I use it for portrait, low light, food, still life, nature, I could go on. If you look in modern day recipe books you will see an abundance of shots using the 50mm playing with the DOF for creative effect.

I agree with you Martin, eloquently put! It is a bit like those H-Fi days when the pressure was on you by manufacturers to get the latest and best sound, it is happening now with digital TV ... it is a ploy to make you part with your dosh, hard earnt or otherwise!
I only get the urge to spend more on my gear with lenses and LBA is a problem but I have it under control.
I am old school I save and save for what bit of gear I buy and I make it earn it's worth before it gets upgraded. I just want to know my camera inside out and all its nuances and capabilities (I still am constantly inspired by what the 20D is capable off)...that combined with the wonderful world of Photoshop is more than enough for me, there are no limitaions if you have a creative eye in photography.
It is not how many bloody pixels you have but how many brain cells you have IMHO.
I am sure Gaughan, Monet etc.. didnt go round comparing what brand of brushes they were aquiring!
Oh well thats my rant for the night

I felt I had to give her a crop to focus more on her amazing eyes, did thisin SFX and copper toned for a more dramatic look, did an adjustment in curves before I started. I hope you print all these off for her..hic!

What do you do if you feel you have no roots? Thinking cap will be firmly in place.
